These are finally completed.
I have a pair of these fantastic vintage silver ware lamps.
I started by finding these two urn shaped lamp bases at Goodwill, spray painting them a flat black. Scouring thrift stores and garage sales for two matching cylinder lampshades. When I stumbled across these square ones I snatched them right up. I felt a little bad about cutting into the beautiful fabric and very well made shade but hey I had to do what I had to do to get these done.
As you may know I have no shortage of vintage silver. So i picked through my stash for similar sizes. Jay used wire to hang the pieces and I covered the top with black grossgrain ribbon.
These would look wonderful on a buffet, on a side table, on a mantle, in a kitchen, you name it. I won't be sad if they don't sell.
Sorry for the short post.
I am finishing another project that I can't wait to reveal to you tomorrow.
I can't believe tomorrow is Wednesday. I am feeling better, still not 100%.
We pick up our large UHaul trailer early Thursday morning. Jay, Sam and I will be loading the truck and trailer and spending the afternoon setting up our double booth of treasures for Friday evening and all day Saturday. Thank you to all of you who read this blog, come to the shows, pick for me at garage sales, help craft and cultivate my creative spirit. I appreciate you!!!
Good night!
