Bride on a Bike is having a 'Favorite's Giveaway'

I know, I know. It has been a very long time since I have done a blog post.  Something had to give and unfortunately it was the blog.  Between working full time, keeping my space at Poppy & Co. stocked and balancing time for my husband and family the blog was put on the backburner for awhile.

Enough about me.  Let's get Bride on a Bike's Favorite's Giveaway started.

A few rules to go over:
1. You may only enter once.
2. To enter 'Favorites' giveaway leave a comment on this post about something you have planned for the summer.
{comment will not post automatically, I will need to publish comments. Anonymous comments will NOT be published as I won't know who you are if you win, makes sense right?}
3. Once a winner has been randomly picked you give permission for your first name to be announced.
4. Once you have received giveaway you will snap a photo and send to me so I can share with friends of Bride on a Bike.
5. This giveaway ends Sunday, May 5th at noon.

Good luck and let's have some fun!

This just might need to come home with you

  • How fabulous is this rug?
  • Pretty awesome, right?
  • It could be yours.
  • It is a brand new, 100% wool, hand tufted 7'6" x 9'6" union jack rug.
  • I will be bringing this to the shop tomorrow.

This is a cute childs desk but you can use it as a side table too.

I am thinking of keeping this, you know me and bikes.

Amazing.
Love this vintage lamp I picked up on my way home tonight.
Working on finding a good shade for this fella.

Two person bench but wait there is a twin.  I have two of these benches that will be making it to the store next week.  I have a bridal shower this weekend that I am going to use them at then they can come home with you. I hope that is alright with you.

I have been busy on this dresser.
I love the way it turned out.

Another favorite of mine right now.
This two tiered weathered table is sturdy and a great piece to have in your home.

A few small painted pieces.

A whole lotta silver coming to Poppy & Co.

Two matching white glass vases.  Very versatile and classic.

Almost forgot to add this little one in.
Smallish gray side table.

{I apologize for the grainy photos, I decided to let my dear husband sleep and not wake him. I couldn't figure out how to resize them to a good size without wanting to pull my hair out}

What is it?

What is it?

A: A photographer would use it as a timer for their lighting to go off automatically. What am I going to do with it, I have no idea. I liked the look of it.

Any guesses on this one?
A: A dresser I was working on this weekend.

This one is pretty cool. Jay and I stopped at a roadside fruit stand and garage sale in Eastern Washington a few weeks ago and Jay spotted this in a barn.  We asked the lady about it and she gave it to us.  Score!!

I had no clue what these were, until the fella at the garage sale told me they were....

...to hold hay. They were once on his barn in Texas to hold the hay for the horses. I plan on hanging them on my house and filling with moss and succulents. What do you think of that idea. We are going through a home makeover right now.  We just installed a beautiful new garage door and no we are getting ready to paint our house.

Easy to guess this one right?!?!
Picked up two sets of lockers. They have no doors, (intentionally) and each bank of lockers has three on top and three on the bottom.

Q: Can you tell what this is?
A: A whole roll of chicken wire. Couldnt pass it up for only one dollar now could I?

Anyone?
An ashtray.
Missing the amber colored glass dish that fits inside. What if I cleaned it up and planted some hens and chick on the inside?

Thanks for bearing with me while I have been MIA, work has been crazy busy.  I am jonesing (sp?) to get out in the garage to start painting and getting more pieces in the shop.

Poppy & Co. is open:

Opens this Saturday 11-5

Here is a sneak peek at my shop space along with Alison from Modern Cottage Co.

One of my all time favorites that I have finished.
I just adore this union jack table-desk.

I have always loved paper, stationary, ephemera etc. You name it, I love it. Remember this awesome picking find?  Well Jay and I cleaned the baskets, cut wood to fit, stained it and had our genius friend, Robby fix a wheel...this baby is all fixed up.
Sorry it is not for sale. I love it too much.
It currently holds treat bags, library cards and other little must haves.

Remember this piece for awhile back?
Well she has received a fresh coat of blue paint and a poly sealer.  She is at the shop and ready to go home with you.

I am having a garage sale at my house this weekend.  Loving this sunshine!  Hope you had a fabulous Fourth of July!
